About Karen Good BSN, RN, CCRN
A lifetime in trauma care, now guiding legal understanding.
Built in Chaos. Trusted in Complexity.
I don't just read medical records-I understand what happened inside them. I've spent more than three decades in the highest-acuity environments healthcare has to offer-from the back of an ambulance to the Neuro Trauma and Surgical Trauma ICUs at a nationally recognized Level I Trauma Center. Now, I bring that same clinical intensity, precision, and calm-under-pressure mindset to your case.
My Story Starts Where Most Don’t —In the Field
My path to legal nurse consulting didn’t begin in a classroom. It started on a stretcher rail. At 18, I enlisted in the U.S. Army and served as a Staff Sergeant with the 3D Psychological Operations Company in Pittsburgh. That experience shaped how I think—strategically, calmly, and always with awareness of the bigger system at play.
When Seconds Matter, Focus Wins
After nearly a decade in uniform, I transitioned into emergency medicine as a paramedic with Rescue 8 Ambulance in North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. For six years, I ran advanced cardiac life support calls and participated in vehicle, rope, and emergency rescues. That’s where I learned something critical: when everything is chaotic, the smallest detail can change everything. That mindset has never left me.
From ICU to Insight
I earned my nursing diploma from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in 1992 and immediately entered the CardioThoracic Surgical ICU, caring for some of the most complex cardiac and vascular surgical patients imaginable. From there, my career expanded across nearly every critical care specialty at a nationally recognized level 1 trauma center, including:
Grounded in Education, Proven in Critical Care
Along the way, I completed my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Ohio University and earned my CCRN certification—the gold standard in critical care nursing.
What I Bring to Your Case
With over 34 years at the bedside, I don’t interpret records in theory—I interpret them through lived experience.

That's the difference I bring to your legal team.
Let's Put Experience to Work on Your Case!
I bring 34 years of ICU and trauma experience to every case I review—because details decide outcomes. From bedside chaos to case clarity—I’m here to help you see what matters most.
